A valued customer recently visited our warehouse to carry out an on-site inspection of S355NL steel plates before shipment. Every plate was checked against the order specification — grade, dimensions, surface condition and mill certificate — and the full batch was approved on the spot. This is exactly how we prefer to work: buyers are always welcome to verify the material with their own eyes before it leaves our facility.

Why S355NL? Built for Low-Temperature Strength

S355NL is a normalized low-alloy high-strength structural steel under EN 10025-3. The “NL” suffix means the steel is delivered in normalized condition and impact-tested at −40°C — well below the −20°C requirement of standard S355 grades. That makes it the reliable choice for:

• Bridge and heavy structural steelwork exposed to cold climates
• Wind tower sections, cranes and mining equipment
• Offshore platforms and low-temperature pressure vessels
• Truck trailers and heavy-duty chassis frames

Every plate we ship carries a heat number stenciled on the surface. One glance links the physical plate to its mill certificate — chemistry, mechanical properties and heat treatment records. No guesswork, no paperwork mismatch.

Our Inspection Practice — You Check, Then We Ship

We encourage every customer — new or long-term — to inspect the material before shipment. Your options include:

• On-site visit: inspect plates in our warehouse yourself, as this customer did
• Third-party inspection: SGS / BV / TUV or your appointed agency, arranged at your convenience
• Live video inspection: if travel is not possible, we walk you through the stock by video call, showing markings, heat numbers and dimensions in real time

Mill Test Certificates to EN 10204 3.1 are issued with every batch, and we can also arrange additional testing on request.
